I've owned it for three months now. I ease into these things and jeezus christ there's nothing like torque. It's amazing. The front corner of the car lifts, the rear tires chirp and then there's a roar of induction noise from the carb. The nose points to the sky and slightly left as 383 cubic inches of dirty V8 roar up to their shift point. It might not be classically fast but there's such a sensation of power . You know it weighs 4,500 pounds and that 50 mph should not be getting here that quick. It's an experience that no modern luxury car can match.

I don't think I've ever test driven a car without giving it the beans at least once. Even every test drive I've ever been on, whoever is driving almost always floors it at some point. But yeah, I remember gunning the 500ci '76 Fleetwood when I drove it. It was hysterically slow, but it pulled like a train.

You need to hit the drags with it. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at it's 1/4 mile times.

This is where the saying "no replacement for displacement" kinda fits huh?

Might have to! Butt dyno estimates a high 15 second quarter.
